Sending Love Mailbox |
T his is a CASE of the cute little love note mailbox on page 14 of the Occasions Catalogue. I don't really "do" Valentine's Day however the Sending Love suite was so cute that I just had to have it!

Take two sheets of matching Sending Love designer series paper and cut out the two box pieces from the Baker's box thinlits using the Bigshot and the Magnetic platform. The Bigshot will cut and score your box pieces for you. Use the long thin opening die to cut your postal area on one of the box pieces - you will need to take a look at how the box is constructed to work out the best location. Burnish all the score lines using your Bine folder and follow the instructions contained with the thinlit dies to put your box together. You can fill your mailbox with chocolates now if you wish
Using the larger of the envelope dies with the Love Notes framelits and a contrasting piece of Sending Love designer series paper, cut out an envelope. Cut an envelope liner from a further contrasting piece of Sending Love designer series paper. Put your cute little envelope together using the Fine tip glue pen
Stamp the Love note stamp from the Sealed with Love stamp set on a scrap piece of whisper white using Read Red ink. Cut the love note out using the matching die from the Love Notes framelits dies and pop it into your envelope so you can see it
Punch out four hearts from the Sending Love designer series paper using the Sweetheart punch and attach them to the four sides of your mailbox. You could also use the heart thinlit from the Baker's box thinlits dies
Cut a 3.5in x 1/2in piece of Real Red cardstock for your flag post. And then fussy cut a 25c stamp from the Sending Love designer series paper and attach this to the post using Tombow multipurpose glue. Using a piece of scrap Real Red cardstock cut an arrow using the arrow die from the Love Notes framelits. Attach this to your flag using the Fine tip glue pen.
Use a Gold binder clip to close your mailbox and attach your post on a jaunty angle above your mail opening using Tombow multipurpose glue. Pop your envelope with it's love note half into your mail box opening and enjoy giving this cute little Valentine to your loved one.
