Lift me up calendar
A t my Sale-a-brate Open House we made a gorgeous giftable calendar using the Lift me up bundle. It went down a treat!
Take a sheet of Bermuda bay cardstock and cut 1 piece 11 in x 4.25 in and score at the 5.5 in mark.
Cut a second piece of Bermuda bay cardstock 4.25in x 4 in. Turn it to the 4 in side and score at 1, 2 and 3 in marks
Cut a piece of So saffron cardstock 3 7/8 in x 5.25 in
Cut a third piece of Bermuda bay 3 1/8 in x 2 1/8 in - this will be used as a base card for the calendar to provide a little extra strength to the piece
Using Cupcakes & carousels designer series paper (I used the coloured dots sheet), cut a piece of paper 3 in x 6 in
Run this through the Bigshot using the largest of the hot air balloon dies from the Up & away thinlit dies and the Precision base plate. With good placement you can get two balloons from the piece of paper. Use the Die brush to release the balloon and all the little pieces
Using Bermuda bay ink stamp three of the small clouds from the Lift me up stamp set onto a scrap piece of So saffron cardstock. Cut them out using the Bigshot and the little cloud die from the Up & away thinlit dies
Using Bermuda bay ink stamp the sentiment "Have a happy day" from the Hey chick stamp set (Sale-a-bration free product) onto a scrap piece of So saffron cardstock and cut it out on the Bigshot using the largest of the clouds from the Up & away thinlit dies
Sponge around the edge of the cloud using a sponge dauber and Bermuda bay ink
Using Bermuda bay ink stamp the sentiment "Everyone needs a friend like you" from the Suite sentiments stamp set onto a piece of So saffron cardstock and cut this out on the Bigshot using the Stitched shapes framelits (the last circle)
With a piece of Bermuda bay cardstock cut out the largest scalloped circle from the Layering circles framelits
Attach the sentiment piece to the Bermuda bay piece using Tear n tape
Now it is time to assemble the calendar
Using tear and tape attach the 3 7/8 in x 5.25 in piece of So saffron cardstock to your Bermuda bay base
Then attach the 3 1/8 x 2 1/8 Bermuda bay piece to the So saffron piece at the bottom centre
Using the Fine tip glue pen glue one of the small clouds near the top left hand corner of the So saffron mat piece
Using the Fin tip glue pen glue the Hot air balloon on an angle across the So saffron piece popping a 2in folded piece of Bermuda bay 1/8 in stitched ribbon under the basket part of the balloon
Glue the other small clouds down in a pleasing manner using the Fine tip glue pen
Using Stampin dimensionals attach the larger cloud sentiment down a little over the hot air balloon
Take the 4.25 in x 4 in scored piece of Bermuda bay and fold in half on the 2 in score line creating a valley fold
Fold the 1 in and the 3 in score lines creating two mountain folds
Turn your Bermuda bay calendar piece over and place 2 rows of Tear n tape across the bottom ends
Ensuring the valley fold is directed downwards, place your scored and folded piece just a fraction of an inch above the bottom of the Bermuda bay calendar piece. Press to ensure it is firmly attached
Then turn the piece around and fold the Bermuda bay piece over at the score line and attach to the other side of the scored and folded piece again ensuring it is firmly attached
Turn your calendar over and place three pieces of Tear n tape across it and stick it firmly to the Bermuda bay piece on the front of your Bermuda bay calendar cardstock piece
To make the calendar giftable, pop it in a Gussetted cellophane bag (6in x 17in)
Attach the "Everyone needs" sentiment piece prepared earlier to the top using a 20 in long piece of Bermuda bay 1/8 in stitched ribbon and a Gold binder clip.
What a gorgeous gift! Enjoy!
