2017 Lift Me Up Accordion Card

Create a 2017 accordion card using the Lift Me Up bundle and Cupcakes & carousels designer series paper from the Stampin' Up! 2017 Occasions Catalogue

Cut a piece of Calypso Coral card stock 12in x 6 in and score along the 12 in side at 2in, 4in, 6in, 8 in and 10in

Take four pieces of Cupcakes & carousels designer series paper and cut six pieces 5.75in x 1.75in. I chose patterns with a Very vanilla background including :
the argyle pattern (x 2 pieces)
the stripes (x 2 pieces)
the flags (x 1 piece) and
the clouds (x 1 piece)
Affix these to the card base using Tear n tape

Take a scrap piece of So saffron card stock and cut four Stitched Shapes from the second largest of the ovals. Take a scrap piece of Early expresso card stock and cut the numbers "2017". Attach the numbers to the oval shapes using Tear n tape. Pop the oval pieces up on Stampin' dimensonals and affix them to the four middle sections of the card base in the appropriate order with the 2 near the top of the second section and gradating the 017 downwards across the following three sections

Using a scrap piece of Very vanilla stamp 2 of the middle sized hot air balloons from the Lift me up stamp set in Bermuda bay and 1 in So saffron. Stamp 2 each of the smallest hot air balloons in So saffron and in Calypso coral on your scrap piece of Very vanilla.
Take a piece of Calypso coral card stock and stamp the middle sized hot air balloon in Calypso coral (this gave the card a real pop)
Use the Up & Away thinlits dies to cut out your stamped balloons

Pop all the hot air balloons up on Stampin dimensionals and lay them out on the accordion card in a pleasing manner to suit you (Take a look at my card to see which ones I put where) and that's it for a lovely looking decor piece for the New Year
